MHFA Aotearoa Workplace Recognition Programme
Our Workplace Recognition Programme (WRP) recognises and celebrates organisations for their commitment to embedding Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Aotearoa in their workplace culture.

With three tiers of recognition, there are options for every organisation.

Why get involved?
Whether you are a large organisation or a smaller one, investing in your people's mental health and well-being, and equipping them with the skills to recognise and respond to signs of mental health challenges or distress in a colleague, is worthwhile.
The Workplace Recognition Programme helps organisations foster an environment where staff feel safe, encouraged and supported to talk openly about their mental health with anyone at any time.
It also supports organisations in establishing and maintaining an internal mental health and wellbeing framework tailored to their needs.

Supportive environment
Creating a mentally healthy and supportive environment.

Strengthened supports
Increased support for staff experiencing mental health challenges.
The impact of poor mental health in the workplace
According to the World Health Organisation, a supportive work environment fosters people’s positive mental health, while poor working conditions can harm their mental wellbeing.

Poor mental health can lead to higher absenteeism, reducing productivity and undermining team culture.

The World Health Organisation recommends mental health literacy training and interventions to improve and protect mental health at work.

Sign up for our Workplace Recognition Programme (WRP) and demonstrate your commitment to mental health to current and future staff, and your community. The more Mental Health First Aiders there are in your workplace, the stronger your people and organisational culture will be.
